Accessibility for all
Contents of this page:
We are committed to ensuring the digital accessibility of our website and all related services. This statement provides information about our efforts to comply with the Accessibility Act (BaFG) in implementation of EU Directive 2019/882. Here you can find out which parts of our website are already accessible, which are not yet, and how to contact us if you have any problems.
01. state-of-compatibility-with-requirements
This website is partially compatible with the requirements of the Web Accessibility Guidelines in accordance with the Accessibility Act (BaFG). We are constantly working to identify and eliminate existing barriers.
02. Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons
a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations:
- The contrasts between text and background do not always meet the required standards.
- The font sizes do not always fulfil the required standards.
- The WP Grid Builder is used on the website to display overviews (grids and some sliders). This technology is not completely barrier-free, despite the manufacturer’s claims to the contrary; operation is possible without barriers, in some cases assistive technologies such as screen readers display irrelevant information.
b) Disproportionate burden:
- Content published before 28 June 2025 is not subject to the requirements of the BaFG.
- Content from third-party providers over which we have no editorial influence
Videos on YouTube:
Videos are hosted and published on the YouTube video platform. It is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions or a textual alternative (WCAG success criterion 1.2.3 (Audio description) and 1.2.5 (Media alternative)), which means that the spoken content is not available for deaf users. We are of the opinion that a correction would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.
Videos in general:
Some recorded videos and audio files lack the required audio description or a textual alternative (WCAG success criterion 1.2.3 (Audio description) and 1.2.5 (Media alternative)), which means that the spoken content is not available for deaf users. We are of the opinion that a correction would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations.
